ICRI 2024 BrisbaneThe International Conference on Research Infrastructures (ICRI) is the major professional forum for the global research infrastructure community and brings together policymakers, research institution leaders, facility operators, users and researchers, to discuss pressing topics of interest, trends and challenges facing research infrastructures around the world. The 2024 edition will be delivered by Australia’s national science agency, CSIRO (the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation) and is held in Brisbane. ICRI 2024 will explore trends, challenges, and opportunities in research infrastructures globally.

International Clinical Trials Day 2024

International Clinical Trials Day 2024ICTD commemorates the start of the landmark clinical trial, led by James Lind on sailors with scurvy, 20 May 1747. Acknowledging its foundational role in shaping contemporary clinical research, ECRIN annually honors this milestone, addressing a new topic in clinical research every year around this significant date.

This year's topic: Data Centric Clinical Research.

With the data revolution playing an increasing role in all aspects of clinical research this year we will focus on some of the impacts, benefits and challenges of the rise of data and technology. Different stakeholders from the community will share their experiences on topics ranging from the integration of the new technical assets, eHealth, data science, the data protection legislation and collaboration of academia and industry, among others.

ICTD this year will be a hybrid event, direct from Thessaloniki, that will run from 9:00 to 5:30 CEST. This event is free and welcomes participants both onsite and online.

EU-Africa PerMed Summer School

Eu-Africe Personalised MedicineThe Second EU-Africa PerMed Summer School will take place on May 21-23 2024 in Nairobi, Kenya. This year's edition focuses on implementing personalised medicine in various fields, with the goal to equip participants with skills to support personalised medicine and research network creation.

The Summer School is open to 35 junior researchers, policymakers, and healthcare workers from EU and African countries who will be evaluated and admitted on a competitive basis. At least 6 participants will be selected to receive a travel and accommodation grant. Participation in this training event is free of cost.
